A sign shop that builds, permits and installs its own work
MorSigns is a Houston-based, family-owned sign company with a mission to provide our clients with the proper signs to make their business stand out. We have a passion for business signs with innovative designs and cutting-edge technology. With more than 40 years of combined experience, we offer a full range of signage services spanning project management, design, fabrication, installation and maintenance.
Who we work for
Most of our customers are not first-time sign buyers. They are property managers who need a tenant panel replaced by Friday, general contractors who need the monument done before the certificate of occupancy, medical and dental practices opening a second location, restaurant operators, auto dealers, and churches. They want a company that answers the phone, shows up with the right truck, and does not hand the permit off to someone else.
What is different about how we work
- We pull the permit for every sign we build. The same people who survey and draw the sign submit it, answer the city's comments, and close the inspection. Our permit guide publishes the fees.
- We publish price ranges. Not a rate card, but real installed ranges so you can budget before you call. They are on every service page.
- We own the equipment. Bucket trucks and a crane, so installation is scheduled around your opening date, not around a rental.
- We build in Houston. The shop is at 9960 Harwin Dr., Suite A, Houston, TX 77036. You are welcome to see your sign lit up before it ships.
The owner and the crew
Rene Mora owns and runs MorSigns from the shop on Harwin Drive. The same crew that surveys and draws a sign fabricates it and installs it, with our own bucket trucks and crane, and our in-house licensed electricians make the final connection.

- Daktronics certified dealer. Certified to sell, install and service Daktronics LED price signs and digital displays. Letter of certification on file.
- One-year workmanship warranty on every installation. LEDs and power supplies carry the manufacturer's warranty.

How it works
Survey to warranty, one crew
- Step 1
Site survey
We measure the facade or sign location, photograph it, confirm power and check setbacks and landlord criteria.
- Step 2
Design
Scaled drawings of the sign on your building or site, with materials, colors and illumination called out.
- Step 3
Engineering
A Texas-licensed engineer seals the structure, foundation or wall attachment for Gulf Coast wind loads.
- Step 4
Permit
We assemble and submit the application, answer plan-review comments and pick up the approved permit.
- Step 5
Fabrication
Built in our Harwin Drive shop. You get photos before anything leaves the building.
- Step 6
Installation
Our crew installs with our own bucket truck or crane, then calls in the city inspection.
- Step 7
Warranty
One-year workmanship warranty on the installation; LEDs and power supplies carry the manufacturer's warranty.
